I visited Bryce Canyon National Park last summer and it almost looks like you are walking around on Mars. It is just that unique and beautiful. This painting is of one of the most beautiful places in the park where the tall rock formation (hoodoo) called Thor's Hammer lives. The reddish orange of the hoodoos and the blueish green of the pine trees are just perfectly complementary and make this place seem to glow. I marvel at how God makes places glow with his order of beauty and light. I am so thankful that I was able to see and experience it here.

"A  painting lives by companionship, expanding and quickening in the eyes
of the sensitive observer.  It dies by the same token.  It is therefore a
risky & unfeeling act to send it out into the world."
