In the Spring of 2011 I saw these rare birds, called whooping cranes, off the coast of Texas.  It is one of the only place in the world that these endangered birds nest.  They like to hang out in pairs like people do.  I also had a photo of reflections on the ocean water and so I combined the images and wa-la!  A painting is born.  Enjoy!

"A  painting lives by companionship, expanding and quickening in the eyes
of the sensitive observer.  It dies by the same token.  It is therefore a
risky & unfeeling act to send it out into the world."
