I am starting my painting of a storm off of Anna Maria Island in Florida. It will include the Anna Maria City Pier as well.

I added more of the sky and clouds today.

I worked on the sky more today... lots of layers of blues and blending. I also added some very light grey to the sand area though it is hard to tell... it is white sand...

I worked more on the clouds today. I also added some seaweed to the sand and made the trees in the background a darker green.

I worked some on the seaweed and also on the pier today.

More work on the water and clouds today. I also changed up the sand color a bit as well.

I added some purple to places in the sky like on the horizon since I figured the reds in the purple would make the green water look better since they are complimentary colors. I lightened up parts of the water and made some of the far away water a little darker in spots.

I worked on the sand and shrubbery on the right side. I also started adding in the bird.
