10.13.2005

After many random photos on the bus, a few confused looks, and several sketches, I have finally decided on the composition of my Austin bus painting.  I am building the stretcher for it in a few days and will paint soon, God willing.

Nothing like a night to relax, drink some Big Red, and paint.  It's the little things...

Musical Inspiration of the Day:

11.5.2005

I am still figuring out the angles of the bridges in the window.  I added some of the Austin skyline and also worked some on the interior of the bus.

Musical Inspiration of the Day:
various big band music and Goo Goo Dolls that I downloaded off itunes.

11.10.2005

I redid the railroad bridge in the background & I am very happy about it.  The color of the bus wall still needs a lot of work.  I wonder why bus interiors are usually yellow?  hmmm...

Musical Inspiration of the Day: Mix94.7, KLOVE, and big band/Goo Goo Dolls itunes CD.

11.11.2005

I have been thinking about color a lot today.  I looked at my Wayne Thiebaud book and he always gives me good ideas.  So I changed the wall on the bus to blue.  And I have decided to keep the pink and orange lines throughout. (and add more soon.)  My victory of the day is the shirt! Yay, I'm excited!

Musical Inspiration of the Day: Mix94.7, KLOVE; Switchfoot, Nothing is Sound.

11.20.2005

This is my weekend progress.  I added the glass in the middle, changed the water & bridge in the background, began working on the chairs and yellow pole.  I still have a lot of work left to do...

Musical Inspiration of the Weekend:
KLOVE, Mix 94.7 & Switchfoot, Nothing is Sound.

11.24.2005

Happy Thanksgiving!

Over the past few days I have been working on the reflection on the glass.  Also on the street and buildings in the background and on the chairs. The reflection is my biggest challenge so far.

Inspiration of the last few days: Charles Stanley- 3 sermons on tape on the Holy Spirit. Read Exodus 31:3- the first person to be filled with the Holy Spirit was an artist!

11.28.2005

Still going... Over the past few days I have worked on the glass reflection, the water, the buildings in the background and the light poles on the bridge.

Inspiration of the last few days:
Charles Stanley sermons on tape about the Holy Spirit.

11.30.2005

I tried my best to finish before December but it looks like it's not gonna happen.  I spent around 5 hours on this tonight...  working on the reflection, fence, buildings, hands, etc.

Inspiration of the Day: Christmas Music and KLOVE Christian Radio.
