5.03.2007

I am painting on a circle canvas this time.  It is going to be a night scene of the street corner right by my church, Ecclesia, in Houston. We will see how it goes.  I am thinking that circles will be the theme.

I added a lot today.  One of the last days to paint with the garage door open.  Today a june bug came to visit.

5.13.2007

I added shadows of the trees on the left today- on the building and on the street.  I also changed the color of the side of the left building to a brighter yellow color.

**This was the first time that my new dog Violet joined me in my studio as I painted.  She enjoyed sitting in front of the fan and chewing on her bone.

I added more dark shadows to the road today. I thought about Edgar Degas today because I think that we are equally enamored with this shade of green.

**Violet slept on my foot while I painted this.

5.17.2007

I changed the foreground again- mainly the street.  I also added a little light pole in the background.

**I had the garage door cracked like 5 inches up and my dog managed to squeeze through when I was painting.  SO I ended up running frantically through the neighborhood in my paint clothes yelling "Violet!"  I bet people thought I had been eating the paint or something. :)
