It's another Houston circle painting! This building is on Woodway and Sage.

6.22.2008

And we're off... I am painting a reflection of a tree in an office building's windows.

6.23.2008

I added more blue in the windows today!

6.24.2008

I added the tree and the window panes.

6.26.2008

I added more window panes and more contrast to the reflection of the tree. I like how the reflection is turning out so far.

*Today it occurred to me that my art is not so much about the idea of "man v. nature" but "man in the midst of nature"... hmm... I was thinking about how it can't be a competition because man cannot ultimately control nature.  But they still have a relationship as they share existence though.

6.30.2008

I added some leaves in the windows and a tree on the right today.  I also changed the road in the foreground a little by adding some white.  I also added some white to the sky.

7.17.2008

I added some plants in the foreground.

7.21.2008

I added more dark leaves and more definition to the red curb.  I also added a darker color to the building reflections on the left.

7.22.2008

I worked on the grass in the foreground today and I also added more contrast to the plants.  On the building's glass, I added more green foliage and also made more contrast with the colors on the tree on the right.

7.28.2008

I added the tree on the left.  I also added more white to the sky and the road.  And I added some shadows on the sidewalk.  Almost done I think...

7.29.2008

I added more dark colors to the bark on the tree on the far left.  I also added light blue to the windows and made the lines in the glass a bit neater.
