I finally figured out my newest painting! It's going to be of Edinburgh Castle in Scotland. (I will probably make the cliff higher in the actual painting though...) I'll start painting soon so stay tuned!

I moved the castle to the right and changed the sky and wall as well.

I had lots of time to work today. I added the trees and red stripes to the sidewalk. I also changed the color of the castle AGAIN- it's still not quite the right color yet.
(Note: I forgot to post on 10.10.07- I added the light green to the hill and the walkway in the foreground then.)

I changed the color of the castle again...it still needs work. I also added more to the grass in the middle.

I changed the color of the castle again and the sky too.

I changed the color of the middle wall and I added a little brighter blue in the sky. I also covered the tree trunk at the bottom. The walkway at the bottom still needs to be a different color though and I'm still not sure about the castle and wall colors... they may be too warm right now. I'm getting closer though.

I changed the reddish wall to make the colors cooler so that they recede a little more. I also added some blue highlights throughout the rocks and to the walkway in the foreground. I'm making progress but there is still more work to be done...

I changed the castle color again and I also added more contrast to the bottom of the rocks. I also added the tree trunk. Almost done... I think.

I'm still working on the grassy part... it's going through an awkward phase.
So I went a little crazy on the grass...
