8.31.2010>>> Next I am going to paint some birds that I saw @ Jungle Gardens in Sarasota, Florida.

*** I am going to be making a bunch of smaller paintings for a while to prepare for the
Woodlands Waterway Art Festival that I am going to have a booth @ in April 2011!

9.7.2010

I started another painting today while waiting for the sun conure painting to dry.  This one is of a parrot itching itself.  I love the curve of his body with the circle canvas.

9.11.2010

I added his beak and face!

9.12.2010

More work on the feathers.

9.13.2010 Happy b.day Eddie!

I made the blue part a little wider and I added some more shadows in the green feathers.  I also added some yellow to the head's green feathers as well as some contrast (dark shadows near the beak.)

9.16.2010

I started adding the background today!

9.18.2010

More work on the head and the orangey yellow feathers today. I am getting a little frustrated with it but I think that I am close to finishing!

9.21.2010

I worked on the contrast in the feathers today. I'm attempting to add more details...

9.26.2010

I added some finishing touches and finished!
