5.22.2006
I decided to paint a scene from Mt. Bonnell this time as my farewell to Austin painting.  If you look @ my old article here about the painting "Waiting" (of the 360 bridge) you will see why I chose this image.  (The wait is over!)

5.23.2006
For some reason this one is having a slow start.

5.24.2006
So my wet painting fell facedown on my driveway today.  I guess it was God's way of telling me it needs more texture.

Musical inspiration of the day: The Word radio station- sermons.  Also KLOVE Christian radio.

5.25.2006
I worked on the hills, the trees and shrubbery on the right, and I also started working on the itty bitty houses.  I turned the sky orange with the idea that I would later paint blue over it when it drys, but I don't know now because it sort of made the whole painting come alive for me.
So we'll see what happens.

A painting, like life, is a series of decisions and reactions.

PS- this is the first time I have ever painted my butt. :)

5.26.2006 (My grandma's 95th b.day!)

I added more houses today and painted myself (the figure) and added some more dark green contrast behind me.  Oh and I put the 360 bridge in too.

Musical inspiration of the day: KLOVE Christian radio & Mix 94.7.

5.31.2006

I painted the rocks today.  I added a lot of contrast but I am not completely done with all of them yet though.

Musical inspiration of the day: KLOVE Christian radio & Mix 94.7.

6.02.2006 Happy b.day Daddy!

I added some tiny houses and trees in the middle today. They are frustrating me a little...

Musical inspiration of the day: KLOVE

6.05.2006

I changed the color on the left shoreline.  I also added some boat ramps and such in the water.  On the right, I made the trees darker. The trees on the left are still not the right color though.  More to do tomorrow I suppose.

Musical inspiration of the day: KLOVE (I have been lazy on my musical selection lately.  I need some new tunes I suppose.)

6.06.2006 (Creepy- it's 666!)

I changed the color on the left shoreline again.  I still need to change the color of the road and the houses on the left though.  I added some driveways to the houses on the right and put a boat in the lake.

Musical inspiration of the day: I found some of my brother's tapes from the 80's!  I listened to his "All time classics" tape which included- INXS, Bobby Brown, the Bangles, and more. I also listened to KLOVE for a while.

6.07.2006

I worked on a lot of little things today.  Mainly on the houses and the road on the left.  More work to do, but the end is near.

Musical inspiration of the day: More 80's/ early 90's tapes including Michael Jackson's "Thriller"  and some mix tapes that included artists such as MC Hammer and Don Henley. Rock on.
