8.31.2010>>> Next I am going to paint some sun conures (birds) that I saw @ Jungle Gardens in Sarasota, Florida.

*** I am going to be making a bunch of smaller paintings for a while to prepare for the
Woodlands Waterway Art Festival that I am going to have a booth @ in April 2011!

8.31.2010

Humble beginnings but I'll make it work.

9.2.2010

I got a lot done today! Amazing how fast they go when they are small!!!

9.7.2010

Some work on the tail today.

9.9.2010

I added some lighter colors to the bird's chest which I like.  I am still working on the tail though which I don't like yet.

9.11.2010

I worked on the tail feathers more today.

9.18.2010

I have been trying to figure out what I needed to add to this painting to make it a bit more interesting.  I decided on adding some plants.  More to come...

9.19.2010

More leaves today. And I added a branch as well.

9.20.2010

I painted over the small leaves today.

9.21.2010

I lightened the leaves on the top right in the back.  I made them more yellowy and lime green.  I also added some reddish brown contrast to the painting.

9.23.2010

I slightly lightened up the green in the leaves in the front top/right. I also started working on the tail again.  That tail is killing me here...

9.26.2010

I added some finishing touches and finished!
