11.29.04

So my newest painting is of the 360 bridge in Austin, Texas, my hometown.

This one is going to be about patience.

Musical Inspiration of the Day:

Caedmon's Call: "Share the Well."
K-LOVE
Christian radio.
Classical music on the radio.

12.01.04

Awe the glow of Christmas lights outside my window...

I changed the angle of the bridge today.  I am not sure yet where I am going to put the horizon... thus "the mess of discovery" if you will.

I also added some cars.  Boy, cars are fun to paint!

Musical Inspiration of the Day:

My Christmas Mix CD.  (cuz it is the most wonderful time of the year and all!)

12.08.04

I went to an art opening tonight and it made me want to paint! So I came home and worked on the bridge and the foliage/shadow on the right canvas.

Musical Inspiration of the Day:

-Nat King Cole "Christmas Favorites"
-Beautiful Christmas Memories
-Country Superstar Christmas II

12.11.04

I worked on the cars and the road more today.

Musical Inspiration of the Day:

-U2, "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb." Some quotes:
---
I’m not broke but you can see the cracks
You can make me perfect again

All because of you
All because of you
All because of you
I am… I am
----
Yahweh, Yahweh
Always pain before a child is born
Yahweh, tell me now
Why the dark before the dawn?

Take this city
A city should be shining on a hill
Take this city
If it be your will
What no man can own, no man can take
Take this heart
Take this heart
Take this heart
And make it break
---

12.12.04

I worked on the cliffs a lot today.

Musical Inspiration of the Day:

I still need to adjust the color of several elements though.

Musical Inspiration of the Day:

-U2, "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb."

12.17.04

So the cliff is giving me issues, but I am making progress on the right canvas' foliage.

And, yes folks it's Friday night and I'm painting...don't worry I really like it and I went to like a zillion Christmas events this week at which I won a neon flamingo and a ceramic plate. Not bad.

Musical Inspiration of the Day:
-K-LOVE Christian radio.  (yay, Christmas music!)

12.20.04(?)

So I changed the grassy knoll to the right...

12.22.04

Tonight I finally fixed the right canvas' foliage.  I also changed the color of the road on the right, worked on the blue shadows, and I am beginning to deal with the giant cement mixer truck.

Everywhere I drive I see a cement truck it seems like and I never have my camera.  I really need a picture of the back of one- if anyone has one please email it to me asap!

Almost done...

Musical Inspiration of the Day:
Christmas Carols on the radio and Jeremy Camp "Restored".

Studio Temp: 54 degrees

I also worked on the cement wall lines today.
