Introducing my newest painting:
The Cotswolds: England.

9.16.2007

The Cotswolds is an area of southern England that is West of London.  The area has many beautiful rolling green hills and quaint little towns that sell tea and fudge and meat pies.  (Don't try the meat pies by-the way.)  I took some photos of the countryside on the side of the road while we were touring and that is when I got the idea for this painting.  This one doesn't have any super deep spiritual meaning or anything to me.  It is basically just a moment of awe that I experienced... a moment where the beauty of creation astounded me and my eyes darted around the landscape trying to memorize every color and curve and line.  Hopefully this painting has a small bit of that awe in it.  And if not, at least it is delightfully green. Cheers!

"A  painting lives by companionship, expanding and quickening in the eyes
of the sensitive observer.  It dies by the same token.  It is therefore a
risky & unfeeling act to send it out into the world."
