Introducing my painting:
"I've Seen the Paths That Your Eyes Wander Down... I Want to Come Too."

When I was walking around Edinburgh Scotland last summer,  I was struck by the beautiful mixture of old and new architecture.  Beside it looking very cool, I just like the idea of old and new things standing side by side... peacefully coexisting... it just seems hopeful somehow.  Anyway, as I walked down the cobblestones of the Royal Mile with every other tourist,  I was delighted to find mysterious alleyways that hid this secret beauty of the city.  So in my painting, I included one of these mysterious alleyways that I found on my adventure.  As I was painting it, a friend gave me a mix CD with a Landon Pigg song on it that had the line "I've seen the paths that your eyes wander down...I want to come too!"  I thought that that was a poetic way to express the joy of my adventure that hopefully this painting captures as well.  Everyone needs a little adventure in their lives.  May all of y'all have undistracted eyes to see adventure and beauty as it's quiet voice lights your path every single day. Cheers!

"A  painting lives by companionship, expanding and quickening in the eyes
of the sensitive observer.  It dies by the same token.  It is therefore a
risky & unfeeling act to send it out into the world."
