1.10.2007 For Christmas this year, my friend Kim Hopson and I decided to do a painting exchange. Here are the results: About Kim's Reflections of the Rising Sun::: I have always liked the way pavement
looks when it is wet. All the
stop lights and car lights and street lights reflect off of it and it just
looks pretty. As I always say,
it’s the little things. I made this painting for my friend and fellow artist Kim Hopson. While I was painting it I was thinking about the below verses and praying that God’s light of love, truth and healing would “shine like the dawn” in her life, continually rising each day and continually growing brighter and brighter, until she is completely free. Amen. Isaiah
60:1-3 "Arise,
shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. Also Isaiah 58:6-8
6 "Is not this the kind of fasting I
have chosen:
7 Is it not to share your food with the
hungry
8 Then your light will break forth like the
dawn, See Kim's Reflections of the Rising Sun in progress here. |

"A painting lives by
companionship, expanding and quickening in the eyes
of the sensitive observer. It dies by the same token. It is
therefore a
risky & unfeeling act to send it out into the world."
