7.16.2009 I have always liked watching storms from far away. Beneath a massive thunderhead filled with light and contrast- you can see the rain coming down in simplistic beauty. So when I on the beach at Point-of-Rocks in Siesta Key, Florida, and saw a storm moving in, I was sure to take some photos. Then I decided to pack it up. (I guess the egret was braver than me.) See this painting in progress here.

"A painting lives by
companionship, expanding and quickening in the eyes
of the sensitive observer. It dies by the same token. It is
therefore a
risky & unfeeling act to send it out into the world."
-Tiger's Eye Magazine 1947.
