Believe it or not, in the middle of June there is still snow in Grand Tetons National Park in Wyoming! While visiting I found a trail called Cascade Canyon. It has beautiful views of the snow melting into waterfalls on such a grande scale that you cannot help but be impressed by its wild beauty. While I was hiking there I decided that I wanted to paint it for all the world to see. This painting is 6 feet tall so it hopefully gives the viewer a sense of the grandeur that I felt while I was there. Click here to see this painting in progress!

"A painting lives by
companionship, expanding and quickening in the eyes
of the sensitive observer. It dies by the same token. It is
therefore a
risky & unfeeling act to send it out into the world."
-Tiger's Eye Magazine 1947.
